The British Masters

After 7 years, this great event made its come back in October 2015 due to the generosity of Sky Sports. Many golfing greats have played in this event and past winners include Sir Nick Faldo, Severiano Ballesteros, Alex Noren, Justin Rose and Lee Westwood. This event returned to Woburn GC with Ian Poulter as the co-host, in 2016 this event was played at The Grove with Luke Donald as the co-host.

BMW Championship at Wentworth

The European Tour’s flagship event once upon a time rotated on several of Britain’s finest courses, Wentworth being among them, but in 1984 it returned to the West and never left. Former winners include Severiano Ballesteros, Sir Nick Faldo, Rory McIlroy and Luke Donald who achieved a rare double with historic back-to-back wins in 2011 and 2012.

As these events are so close to home, I take the opportunity to take the Nazeing GC members to learn how the Professionals' prepare before each game. We visit the practice areas to watch their routines and how they execute particular shots.
