Weather forecast for the start of October was looking great, although the second round was looking a little a chilly (I had 5 layers on!). We met at 10am for a quick bite to eat and get ready for the draw.
Round 1 was a 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford competition, where 2 players form a pair and write the best Stableford score on the card. The pair with the highest amount of points, wins.
Ken Pearcey and Ian McNaught had an impressive 40 points for Round 1, beating Bob Hotchkiss and myself on count back. After a nice evening meal, a drink or 2 (or a lot more for some) and good night sleep we met for breakfast to complete the draw for Round 2.
Round 2 was 4BBB again and had the cold coastal wind, which proved difficult in the scoring. However, Keith Wildman and Gary Stores had a solid performance of 38 points to clinch victory.
Congratulations to everyone that took part, a great time was had by all!
