I was lucky enough to have a return trip to Turkey with the Nazeing GC members recently and it didn't disappoint. What a place! Golf courses were brilliant and couldn't fault our hotel. I organised a 7 night all inclusive trip, staying at Sirene Belek hotel with rounds of golf at Antalya GC, The National and Carya GC, host to the 2018 Turkish Airlines Open.

 

I arranged for everyone to meet at the airport for 11am to distribute boarding passes and itineraries for the week, then off we went for lunch.

We started with a days coaching which consisted of putting and short game practice to discuss the different speeds and undulating greens. then headed over to the driving range to sharpen up everyone's golf swings. Our first round was at The National GC where we started to compete for the Par 3 order of Merit and the overall Order of Merit. 

​

Our next 4 rounds included two nearest the pins on each day and had a combination of different formats which would be added together, in order to find our Champion of the week. Congratulations to Deirdre Withey for winning the Par 3 Order of Merit and to Una Amico for winning the overall Order of Merit.
